SDI Computer Nitrox

The SDI Computer Nitrox Specialty course offers divers an exciting opportunity to expand their knowledge, delve into the realm of enriched air diving, extend their bottom times and increased safety margins. This specialized course equips divers with the knowledge and skills necessary to plan and execute dives using nitrox, a breathing gas blend enriched with a higher oxygen content than traditional air.

Throughout the course, participants will delve into the benefits and considerations of diving with nitrox, including its impact on dive profiles, decompression limits, and gas narcosis. They'll learn how to analyze nitrox mixes accurately, calculate oxygen exposure limits, and effectively use dive computers to plan and monitor their dives.

Pre-Requisites

1. SDI Medical Questionnaire - before signing up for this course you will need to review this form, if you answer YES to any of the questions you will need to complete a medical assessment with a qualified dive doctor. 2.  Minimum age 18 (Age 10 through to 17 may join with parental consent) 

3.  SDI Open Water Scuba Diver, SDI Junior Open Water Scuba Diver or Equivalent.

To combine with HMAS Adelaide Wreck Dive divers need to hold SDI Advanced Adventure or equivalent certification.
